Sheet Plastination of the Brain

Step 1- Fixation by formalin 10 %.

Step 2-  Slicing.

Step 3-  Flushing with water.

Step 4-  Dehydration by Acetone in deep freezer.

Step  5- Immersion in P 40 .

Step  6-  Forced impregnation

( vacuum 5-20 mm Hg).

Step  7-  Casting in glass chamber.

Step  8-  Light curing by UVA light

a-Prosection.

b-Fixation : Formalin , Kaiserlings solution, Glutaraldehyde.

c- Rinse.

d- Bleaching.

Step 2- Dehydration.

a- Cold acetone.

b- Ethanol.

Step 3-Intermediary solvents.

a- Acetone.

b- Methylene chloride.

Step 4-Forced impregnation

Polymer S10 and S3 in deep freezer.

Room temperature impregnation with S15 is possible.

Step 5- Curing.

Gas curing by S6 .
